CHUANG Chih-Heng

CHUANG Chih-Heng

Professional Lighting Designer and Installation Artist, with a long-term dedication to the research and practice of lighting aesthetics. Frequently collaborates with interdisciplinary teams across theater, dance, music, and technological arts. Uses a unique perspective to create highly recognizable, custom-tailored visual vocabularies of light and shadow for each performance.

In recent years, the focus has also expanded to visual art creation. Specializes in deconstructing, collaging, and transforming everyday appliances and objects, integrating principles of optics, mechanics, and electricity. By deconstructing these devices to trigger viewers' life memories, the work narrows the distance between the art and the audience. Committed to engaging audiences in an accessible manner, aiming to awaken individual perceptions of social structures and provoke deep reflection on contemporary issues.

Furthermore, practical experience extends to curating, with works spanning art exhibitions and ceremony design. Combining years of theater experience with independent creative thinking, continuous refinement is pursued in theme conceptualization, narrative context, resource integration, and on-site execution, thereby expanding the depth and breadth of professional expertise.
